Meshkov House
About the museum
Meshkov House is the main building of the Perm Museum of Local History and a notable landmark of the city’s architecture. The historical exhibition takes visitors from the earliest cultures of the Kama region through the mining and industrial era to the events of the 20th century. The late 19th-century mansion, associated with the entrepreneur and philanthropist Nikolai Meshkov, adds to the story of Perm’s development. Before visiting, check the official website for current opening hours, which galleries are open and whether advance booking is required. For an unhurried visit, choose your main areas of interest in advance and leave time for temporary exhibitions. Photography, access to rooms and organised group visits may be subject to separate museum rules.
