What is TurInspector?

TurInspector is an independent information portal about tourist places and leisure destinations. It gathers on one page information you would otherwise look for across maps, social networks, video services and messengers.

Owner information and inspection results are clearly separated. The portal provides information so you can choose for yourself.

How to find a place

“Find a place” is linked to the homepage map. It filters places by your preferences so you do not have to browse the entire catalog. You can change or reset the criteria at any time.

  1. Choose what you are looking for.

“Where to stay” brings together owners’ leisure and accommodation properties. “What to see” covers tourist and cultural places, including those added by bloggers. The list of types changes with the selected section.

  2. Enter your destination.

Enter a city, region, place name or address in “Where?”. To search nearby, select “My location” and separately allow GPS access. Coordinate-based search covers a 50 km radius around you.

  3. Choose a place type.

Keep all types or choose one from the available list. The categories above the map are also linked to the search results.

  4. Set a price range if needed.

Enter “From” and “To” amounts or select a preset range. The filter is available for eligible types and considers only the primary service selected by the owner for search.

  5. Select the amenities you need.

You can select several options, such as a bathhouse and a pool: results will include places that list both amenities.

  6. Choose inspected places if that matters to you.

“Only inspected by TurInspector” keeps places with a confirmed positive inspection result. Without this filter, places that have not yet been inspected are also available.

  7. Select “Show places”.

The number on the button shows how many places match. Applying the criteria updates the map. If there are no matches, change some filters or select “Reset all”.

  8. Explore the results on the map.

Allow Yandex Maps separately to display the map. This does not grant GPS access. Pan and zoom to compare locations; the catalog and search remain available without loading the map.

  9. Open a place you like.

Select its map marker, then open the place page from the compact card.

  10. Check the details before your trip.

Review the published description, photos, videos, services, prices, reviews and inspection status. Check the service name, billing unit and any “from” label beside the price.

  11. Save the place and confirm the terms.

Sign in to an existing account to add a place to favorites. Use the published contacts to get in touch; built-in messages are currently limited to internal testers. New user registration is suspended.

What the search price means

The price comes from one main service selected by the owner for search. The card shows its name, amount, billing unit—such as an hour, day or visit—and “from” when a lower limit is specified. This is not the total trip cost or necessarily an accommodation price: the service may be something else.

If the main service or its price is missing, the place is excluded from price-filtered results. Price availability also depends on the place type. Confirm the total cost, included services and dates through the published contacts; the portal does not guarantee availability at the listed price.

A traveler’s guide to the portal

Public pages and search do not require registration. An account is needed for favorites, comments, reviews and personal requests. New registrations are currently paused; existing accounts remain active. Built-in messaging is available only to internal testers.

  1. Find suitable options.

Start with “Find a place”: set the location, type, amenities and other important criteria. See “How to find a place” for the detailed steps.

  2. Choose a place type.

Use the categories to keep only the accommodation or leisure options you want on the map.

  3. Set the search area.

Move the map to the region you want or allow location access to see places near your current position.

  4. Open a map marker.

Selecting a marker opens a compact card with the name, type, location and a link to the place.

  5. Go to the place page.

A separate public page brings together the description, services, contacts and all available media.

  6. Check the location.

Compare the address or landmark with the map position and assess the route before your trip.

  7. View photos and videos.

Explore the grounds, rooms, facilities and recent owner media, if published.

  8. Explore posts and services.

News, articles and service cards help you understand what is happening at the place and what it offers.

  9. Check the inspection status.

If an independent inspection took place, review its available result. If there has been no inspection, this is stated openly.

  10. Read reviews and comments.

Use other visitors’ experiences as an additional source of information, not as your only selection criterion.

  11. Save your favorites.

Sign in to an existing account and add the place to favorites to return to it later. New registration is currently closed.

  12. Contact the owner.

Use the place’s published contacts. Internal messages are available only to testers.

  13. Agree on the terms directly.

Visitors discuss prices, available dates, bookings, payments and trip rules directly with the owner.

Map and choosing a place

The map shows published places matching the applied “Find a place” criteria. Location, type, amenities, main-service price and inspection status work together. Available categories come from the current directory: “Where to stay” and “What to see” each have their own types.

Click a marker to open the place card. From there, open the full public page with its description, content, location and contact options.

Photos and videos

Photos, short vertical clips and longer videos let you see the grounds, rooms, facilities and surroundings before your trip. Content is linked to a specific place and leads to its public page.

Owners can use the mobile interface on site to capture events, seasonal changes and new spaces, then upload content promptly. Publication follows the current processing and moderation rules.

Independent inspections

Owner information is separate from independent inspection results. An inspection is not an advertising shoot and must not hide problems to present a place positively.

Owners of published places can contact support to request an inspection. Terms, date and visit format are arranged separately. Once an inspection has taken place, its status and available materials appear on the place page.

The compact inspection block sits before the footer on a place page and expands when clicked. A detailed report opens separately if published. We state clearly when no inspection has taken place or details of an earlier visit are unavailable. A TurInspector inspection does not replace state classification.

Favorites, notifications and contacting owners

Signed-in users can save places to favorites, build a personal shortlist and return to it without searching the map or categories again.

Built-in messaging is currently limited to internal testers; public launch is postponed. Available chats let users discuss terms and exchange supported attachments. Other visitors can use published place contacts, separate support and the content complaint form.

Notifications report important account-related events. TurInspector provides a communication channel but does not take part in agreements, payments or bookings between the parties.

Reviews and comments

Reviews, ratings and comments add user experience to the owner’s description. They highlight details that matter to individual travelers, but do not replace checking the terms yourself before a trip.

User submissions follow the portal’s rules and moderation process. Requests and complaints can be submitted about inappropriate content; fabricated ratings or reviews must not be used to fill a page.

How owners add a place

Places are created in the owner dashboard and become public after moderation. Bloggers can use the relevant types for tourist and cultural places. New registration is closed for now; the steps below apply to existing accounts.

Complete, accurate details on type, address, amenities, description, photos, services, prices and contacts help visitors choose. Enter the main service’s price and select it for search to participate in price filters. Inspection results are confirmed separately and cannot be assigned by the owner. Completing a page does not guarantee a top result or a certain number of impressions.

  1. Sign in to your owner account.

These instructions are for owners who already have access. New user registration is currently suspended.

  2. Confirm sign-in.

Use your dashboard as a single workspace for places, content and messages.

  3. Start creating a place.

Open “Add a place” and fill in the current form step by step.

  4. Choose a type.

Select an appropriate active category from TurInspector’s shared type directory.

  5. Select amenities.

Select only amenities that are actually available. Search requires all amenities that a visitor selects together.

  6. Add the main information.

Enter the name, description and other required details without advertising claims that cannot be substantiated.

  7. Enter the location.

Enter the region, town and full address, or a clear landmark for a remote site.

  8. Set the coordinates.

Place a pin on the map so the place appears correctly on the public map once published.

  9. Enter public contact details.

Enter visitor contact details and provide the required publication consents. Saving data in the dashboard does not make it public automatically.

  10. Add services and prices.

Describe each service, its price, billing unit and whether the price is exact or “from”. Do not combine prices for different services into one value.

  11. Select the primary service for search.

If price search is available for the type, select one of your active services with a price. This service is used by the price filter; the cheapest service is not selected automatically.

  12. Upload photos.

Show the grounds, rooms and important details with genuine, up-to-date photos.

  13. Upload videos.

Short and long videos help visitors understand the place better before their trip.

  14. Prepare posts.

Share events, seasonal changes, new services and other current news from the place.

  15. Check the preview.

Before submitting, check that the name, texts, address, coordinates, contacts and media display correctly.

  16. Submit for moderation.

A place becomes public only after the required review and publication.

  17. Address the feedback.

If the place is returned for changes, make the required corrections and submit it again.

  18. Develop the published page.

Use the available dashboard sections to update content while following status and moderation rules.

  19. Reply to visitors.

Work with available comments, reviews and requests. Built-in messaging is currently limited to internal testing.

  20. Track the results.

Use the available analytics and contact support when needed about publication or an independent inspection.

A dedicated place page and search

Every published place has its own public page and URL. It brings together the description, services, contacts, location, photos, videos, posts, reviews and inspection results, if an inspection has taken place.

Published information is accessible to search engines and linked to the portal’s map and categories. Places can be found via “Find a place”, the catalog or a regular web search for their name.

TurInspector does not guarantee specific search positions: search engines determine indexing and ranking. Keeping content current, complete and high-quality remains an important part of the owner’s work.

Posts and content management

The owner dashboard brings together places, photos, videos, services, posts, articles, contacts, messages and notifications. Editing availability depends on the place’s current status and moderation rules.

News, posts and articles let owners share events, seasonal offers, new services and changes at their place. The page can evolve as a living information resource rather than a static business card.

Short clips, longer videos and photos add real material to posts. Only content with an eligible publication and moderation status appears publicly.

TurInspector is not a booking service

The portal does not collect accommodation payments, handle settlements or become a party to agreements between visitors and owners. Prices, dates, bookings, payments and other terms are arranged directly between the parties.

Owner analytics

Owners see metrics generated by real user actions: place and content views, unique views, likes, comments, favorites, messages, calls, route requests and reviews.

Available reports help you assess interest in your place and its content. The portal does not replace these figures with invented advertising numbers.

Using a smartphone and Android

The mobile browser and Android app share one interface: “Find a place”, map, “Near you”, place types, pages, photos and videos. Favorites and the dashboard require sign-in; messaging remains in internal testing. Registration is closed in every version.

Permission for Yandex Maps is stored separately from GPS and can be changed in cookie settings. Location is requested only after your action and requires device permission. Owners can manage places and upload content from a phone.

Android notifications about account events are available when permitted by the device. Delivery depends on connectivity, phone settings and feature access for the account. No separate iOS app is currently offered; the mobile website is available on other devices.

TurInspector support and development

Contact support about technical problems, incorrect information, moderation, account issues or an independent inspection request. Complaints and reports are available for specific violations.

The project evolves around real owner and traveler needs. Repeated useful suggestions may lead to new features, but future capabilities are described as plans, not as tools already available.
